Statement of Belief

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is the final authority for life, faith and truth.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 - 2 Peter 1:20-21 - Psalm 119:105)

The One True God
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father Son and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19 - 2 Corinthians 13:14 - Deuteronomy 6:4)

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead and will return again in glory and power.
(Luke 1:26-35 - Hebrews 4:15 - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 - Acts 1:11 - Revelation 1:7)

The Fall of Man
Mankind was created good but fell through sin. All have sinned and need a Savior.
(Genesis 1:26-27 - Romans 3:23 - Romans 5:12)

Salvation
We believe salvation comes by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by good works but is a gift of God.
(Ephesians 2:8-9 - John 3:16 - Romans 10:9-10 - Titus 3:5)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as given on the Day of Pentecost and available to all believers today and is to be done “decently and in order”.
(Acts 2:1-4 - Acts 10:44-46 - Acts 19:1-6 - Luke 11:13 - 1 Corinthians 12 -14)

Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the church and the advancement of the Gospel.
(1 Corinthians 12:7-11- Romans 12:6-8 - Ephesians 4:11-13)

The Work of the Ministry
We believe God calls and equips leaders both men and women, to serve in every area of ministry (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) to serve and build the Church.
(Ephesians 4:11-13 - 1 Timothy 3:1-13 - Joel 2:28-29 - Romans 16:1-7 - Galatians 3:28)

Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 28:19 - Acts 2:38 - Romans 6:3-4)

Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing and that it is provided in the atonement of Christ. God still heals today.
(Isaiah 53:4-5 - Matthew 8:16-17 - James 5:14-16 - Mark 16:17-18)

Holy Living
We believe in living a holy and obedient life empowered by the Holy Spirit set apart for God’s purposes.
(1 Peter 1:15-16 - Romans 12:1-2 - Galatians 5:16-25 - Hebrews 12:14)

The Gospel for Humanity

We believe that the Gospel and Life of Jesus Christ has not only personal but also social impact.

● The sanctity of all life - From the womb to the elderly, we believe every person is made in God’s image and has value. Psalm 139:13-16 Jeremiah 1:5 Genesis 1:27
● Racial recognition, unity and reconciliation - We believe that people of every race, ethnicity, or background are made in the intentional image of God and carry eternal
value and the Church should model racial healing, not follow the world’s chaos. Acts 10:34-35 - Gal 3:28 - Revelation 7:9-10
● Care and Justice for the poor, marginalized and oppressed - We believe that caring for and defending the poor, the overlooked, the oppressed, the widow, the orphan, the
stranger, the broken and hurting is the very evidence that the Spirit of God lives in us. Micah 6:8 - Isaiah 1:17 - Proverbs 31:8-9 - Matthew 25:35-40 - James 1:27 - Proverbs 14:31
● The biblical design of family and identity - We boldly affirm God’s original design for gender, sexuality, and marriage between one man and one woman and we speak this
truth with love and grace. We will not compromise God’s Word and we will not stop reaching out with His love for all people. Genesis 1:27 - Matthew 19:4-6 - Romans 1:26-27 -John 1:14 - Ephesians 4:15 - 1      Corinthians 13:1-7 - Galatians 6:1

The Church and Spiritual Leadership
We believe in the local church as the body of Christ where believers gather for worship, fellowship, teaching and mission. We believe in God ordained spiritual authority. We are covered and led by the Lead Pastor and Elders who lead our church under the ultimate direction and authority of Jesus Christ the Chief Shepherd. (Hebrews 13:17- 1 Peter 5:1-4 - Acts 20:28 - Ephesians 4:11-12)

The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus is coming soon and we live in expectation of His return (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - Titus 2:13 - Matthew 24:30-31 - Revelation 22:12)
